How Much Is My Time Worth

Recession Recession Recession is all in the news. Save money, spend less, work more, etc etc. So okay I'm on the savings kick. Plus I'm also a slight pack rat. Being a mother to a toddler opens up a new flood gate of stuff! Clothes!!! She grows out of it so fast and I feel like I'm constantly buying either for new sizes or to go along with the seasons (shorts or warmer jackets).

I'm a bargain shopper...love it. I think I always will be. But now...what to do with all the clothes my daughter outgrew? From ages 0 to 18 months I kept everything. Stored it and sealed it. Now at the age of 2.5 years, the idea of another box of clothes seems ridiculous. I ask myself...am I going to have another kid? If so, what are the chances that it's going to be a girl? Will these clothes be in style?

Okay...off the topic here. So I've been extremely irritated by the mountain piles and boxes of her clothes and mines. In the time of recession I was thinking...Ebay It! Every dollar counts. But I just posted about 10 things and OMG, it's tiring. Plus ebay fees, then Paypal fees, the time you spend listing it, packing it, and shipping it. So I've been wondering...is it even worth my time? I've been irritated for about 5 months now passing by the mountain pile every day.

So I thought...if I just donated it I would have saved 5 months of irritability and done something more productive! Plus I would have felt so much better about myself donating.

Now if I sold it on Ebay I would get about $20 x 20 listed items = $400. Minus fees, etc and shipping I'd probably end up with somewhere around $250-$300.

Gosh...now I realized that I'm wasting more time just venting about this! Okay...GoodWill I hope you're ready. =)
